We’re working with Bedford primary schools to produce BookTastic 2022!

After amazing feedback from our Bedford schools who LOVED last years virtual festival beamed into their schools we’re working on a pilot with 2 Bedford schools to put together a week of events for their pupils in the run up to our weekend Book Festival

Our BookTastic Director Rachael Rogan has been getting inspiration from a group of young creative producers at Shackleton Primary School and Putnoe Primary School to plan and produce BookTastic BookFestival in Bedford 2022.

.Over the next 6 months they are going to be involved in the production of next year’s festival. This was made possible because of support from organisations like Bedford Creative Arts, Bedford Green Party Councillors and The Culture Challenge. We are so grateful for their belief in the future artists and creators in our local schools

Just look at some of the amazing ideas to come out of our first Pupil Voices committees from the brilliant pupils over the past few weeks. What an incredible group of kids, they were so inspirational – there are going to be some amazing creative producers in this lot!

If your school is interested in participating in any of the activities we organise, including virtual and live author events, workshops and hosting the festival, please get in touch! Email booktasticbedford@gmail.com

We’re putting together a Volunteer’s Information Pack for 2022 – let us know if you’d like us to send you a copy when it’s ready and we’ll add you to our list!
