Join the Movement

BookTastic festivals bring together leading UK authors and illustrators, resources, designed by educational leaders, a year-long programme to engage children, and a climactic, exciting event that transforms them into lifelong readers.

BookTastic supports passionate local delivery partners to deliver the BookTastic experience for their community.

So how does it work?

Let’s Build a BookTastic!

Step 1: Build your team

Event Management

Education

Funding

Community

Blending passion with local knowledge and networks

Step 2: Build a budget

Book costs
Transport costs
Venue Costs
Artist costs

BookTastic is always free at the point of access, with all barriers addressed – your funding plan needs to identify what it takes to make it happen in your area

Step 3: Identify your funding

Council/local authority
Business sponsorship
Local trusts & foundations

In-kind support

BookTastic works best when it is a collaboration with the whole community. Local businesses and organisations are heavily invested in seeing great things happen for local children.

Step 4: Build your plan

Which schools?
What venue?
Who are our local partners?
When should we do it?
Create an event that matches your community and its needs, built from Day 1, to deliver something that works for your local children.

Step 5: Contact BookTastic

This could have been Step 1.
